Line Bag

 

NOMENCLATURE:

SLING, EXTRACTION LINE, PANEL (LINE BAG)

 

DESCRIPTION:

Where Used: Is a universal panel that stows extraction lines and suspension slings for deployment. One or two panels are required depending upon their application. The body is made from nylon duck cloth. Three reinforcement straps are used and are located in the center and outside of the body at positions 3-1/2-inches from each side of the body. Three tiedown straps with 12 each tie strap loops are also used and are located in the center and inside of the body at positions which are the same as the reinforcement straps. Four strap handles are located on the outside of the body. Two closing straps are located at each side of the body. Six closing loops are used; three on the outside and three on the inside of the body. Special Features: Accommodates extraction line and suspension slings, portable, used with all approved extraction line for C-130 and C-141 aircraft. Equipment Data: Weight: 2 lb. Length: 41 inches. A-22 Cargo Bag

 

NOMENCLATURE:

BAG, CARGO, AERIAL DELIVERY, CONTAINER ASSEMBLY, A-22

 

DESCRIPTION:

Adjustable container consisting of a sling, a cover, four cover lacing cords, and four suspension webs. Capacity: 2,200 lb. The sling is made of Type VII nylon webbing sewn to a rectangular scuff pad made from 29.93 ounce cotton duck cloth. The cover is made from 29.93 ounce cotton duck cloth. The cover lacing cords are made of 0.25-inch diameter Type I cotton cord and are 11 feet long. The suspension webs are made from Type VIII nylon webbing. Each web is 27.50-inches long with a connector snap fixed at one end and a D- ring fixed to the opposite end. (Without scuff pad, the part number is 11-1-1394.)

Drive-Off Aid

 

NOMENCLATURE:

HEAVY DUTY DERIGGING SYSTEM (DRIVE-OFF AID)

 

DESCRIPTION:

 Upgraded version of the drive-off aid. Where Used: Assist removal of all four-wheeled vehicles from platform after airdrop. Data: A fabric track constructed of Type X webbing sewn in a ladder-type configuration. There are two tracks to each system. Each track is 30 feet long and 22 inches wide and weighs 21 pounds. It is attached to the Type V platform deck rings using a Type V tiedown clevis or Type X webbing. This item no longer includes hooks.
